House Beautiful Dinnerware

Question: Where to get an really nice dinnerware set for Thanksgiving?
This is my first Thanksgiving in my new house and we are have guest. I want a beautiful table but can't seem to find an elegant pumpkin dinnerware set. I have searched all the big stores ie Macy's, Kohl's, JC Penny's, Belks etc and nothing. I have spent hours on the internet and cant seem to find anything that gives a WOW Factor.
Answer: Probably there are not a lot of pumpkin dinnerware choices, unless you do paper plates. I did find a cute pumpkin soup set, that might be good to accompany your dinner. If you just had really nice plates, and then some napkins that were festive that might be nice too. Check out these pumpkin soup bowls at Target, It think they are cute. If not soup, they could have gravy in them, or salad, or pumpkin custard for dessert!

Question: How much is this painting worth...?
How much is this pic worth? Is this OK priced?
Description:
Beautiful, large, original painting on velvet. Indian girl topping rise on black horse with wolf dog in front, background is stormy with a hint of wind dancing throughout horse and rider's mane/tail. This painting is a beautiful rare piece and would look great in any western style log home or else. This picture is not faded and has been kept out of sunlight and any other harmful light exposure. On a scale of 1 to 10 regarding the condition of this picture?... easily 11.
I am asking $450.00 but will consider any offer, thanks.

Answer: It is worth exactly whatever you get for it, same as anything else.
Every painting is a love affair, and the price depends on how much the buyer loves it. For example, artists have always had trouble selling their work for a decent price, but the prices go up after the artist dies. That's because because the art takes on an element of historic interest when the artist is dead, and people will pay more for a good story that goes along with the art.
As for that particular painting, it looks pretty good but velvet painting is not highly sought after.

Scanning Pictures Slides At Home

Question: slide show help...please!?
I am trying to make a slide show for my grandmother's 75th birthday Saturday. I have a scanner at home and plan to scan all my pictures. Can someone tell me how I can get all the pictures on a slide show with some music. What software can I use? Please help! Thanks:)
