Question: Why can you buy a house in Detroit for $500?

Whatz goin on in the States. I was browsing Kijiji and many cities have beautiful homes for less than $100,000. In fact in Detroit you can buy an old house for about $500 and a beautiful home for $25,000. Most are vacant and bank repo's. Where did all these people go who lived in these houses?

Answer: Detroit has become something like a ghost town because of what's happening with the auto industry.

Houses really are going for low low prices the only problem is.. there may be a lein on the property for taxes or something else from the previous owner. I would definitely do a title search prior to purchasing a foreclosed property just to make sure the title is free and clear so you don't get caught up in a huge mess.

most of the foreclosures are investment properties that people intended on renting out.

Question: Purchase my dream...?

I fell in love with this hindu statue... 4 feet tall, wood, antique, beautiful. Price tag: $1,600. Saving money is a *****, especially if all your dreams are riding on it,

Martin Luther said..: I was at an awards show, i was the star, a put my backpack (which carries my designs) down cause the party was going on, only when I turned around it was gone. An indian boy had taken it. An indian lady tried to help me find it, we passed by all these indian children playing. We drove, she was getting real irritated since the awards show, and went to a stairway of lost bags and underneath there were all of these lost grey backpacks, none of them were mine even at a glance.

She left me there, I was in a diserted old but cool place in hawaii, where I live. I just wanted to go home.

Answer: my sides are aching, i'm laughing so much.

Question: Multifunction All in one printer advice - What to buy?

I am a Realtor. I work 30-40% of the time from my home office. I am looking to purchase a new home office multifuntion - scan/print/copy.
An auto doc feeder is a must that wont jam when you have 25-35 pages in it to scan. I will not be using this machine to print pictures from so high quality graphics is not a must - only real estate docs, etc. I just need inexpensive, hassle free doc feeder, prefer front paper load. Any ideas?

Answer: Canon and Brother are very good printers but not cost efficient for a Realtor. Get HP laserjet. They are cheaper in the long run and you get more prints out of the cartridge.
Also, they have a jam-free recovery feature.

The HP Officejet 6500 All-in-One Printer is a good inexpensive, highly rated multi-function.

and the HP Officejet J6480

I am not looking at price to determine the quality. I look at the rating and reliability and that is WHAT you need.

Your choice :)
