Question: Why do some people's homes look like show homes? How do they do it?

A couple girlfriends I know have homes that are so beautifully decorated, etc. I'm thinking I could never have that because I have clutter everywhere. How do they do it?

Answer: Mostly they stick to a particular style of furniture and accessories. A furniture store will have people who can help you stick to one style. The better stores like Bloomingdale's will have professional decorators on staff.

If you aren't really creative about decorating look through magazines or websites until you find a style you like.

Unless you have tons of money take your time and be patient to find just the right pieces to go in your room. But if you 're like most of us we have sentimental attachments to certain things that would look cluttery in a stylized decorated room.
