Cape Cod Style Homes Pictures

Question: I want to give my 1946 Connecticut Cape Cod curb appeal, HELP!?

My home is boring and ugly...do you know of any websites that have pictures of attractive Capes? Mine is considered a "Revival" style with the chimney on the right, the living room is on the right and juts out about 4 feet. 1 car garage on left set back about 15 feet. I'm a very symetrical person and this bugs me! I can's afford huge additions, just minor moulding perhaps, or add stone, or change color, new lighting. landscaping etc. All will be done by me.

When I see a house I like, I can't figure out what it is that makes it special.

I want to keep it a classic Cape Cod

HELPPPPPPP!!!

Answer: If I wanted my house to have that cottage look the first thing I'd do is add window boxes and put lots of flowers in them that would accent the color of the home. Picket fencing and a trellis looks good. A pretty walkway to the front door freshens up the house. If you mean the chimney is on the front of the house on the right side, I love that look. Maybe you don't appreciate what you have. Look in some home and garden magazines at the library for ideas for flowers. A neat lawn and a pretty color on the front doors does wonders to give the house personality. If you like ivy, you could put some to grow up on the chimney to give it some charm. A fresh coat of paint on the house can make it looks pristine.

Beautiful Decorated Homes On A Budget

Question: HOME STYLING AND DECORATING ACCORDING TO THE SEASON OR THEME?

Does anyone know of any great websites that show/teach you how to decorate your home according to the season,holiday or theme for low on budget prices... I LOVE to decorate my home and turn it into a beautiful work of art.. BUT lately things have gotten so super expensive and I am now on a budget. So it would be nice to find a way to make things work and not spend so much money to do so, even if its some DIY "do it your self", website it would be great! Im a pretty crafty person... So any resources anyone?
Thanks hope to hear from you soon....

Answer: request copies of free catalogues like Pottery Barn or Grandin road- their stuff is expensive but you can get ideas. A quick and cheap way it to change the pillows on your couches etc to match the seasons. Another is to buy a large glass container for your coffee table. As the seasons change you can fill the glass bowl with pumpkins, or Christmas ornaments or easter eggs etc. as the seasons change. I also find that purchasing seasons scented candles changes the atmosphere in my home.

Bringing The War Home House Beautiful

Question: Shave her head and trim her nails then you can "go in unto her"?

Did you know in the bible it gives instructions on taking a captured woman as a sex slave?

Deuteronomy 21:10-13 (King James Version)

10When thou goest forth to war against thine enemies, and the LORD thy God hath delivered them into thine hands, and thou hast taken them captive,

11And seest among the captives a beautiful woman, and hast a desire unto her, that thou wouldest have her to thy wife;

12Then thou shalt bring her home to thine house, and she shall shave her head, and pare her nails;

13And she shall put the raiment of her captivity from off her, and shall remain in thine house, and bewail her father and her mother a full month: and after that thou shalt go in unto her

Answer: that's hot...wish there's some leather in there...
